Suellen has judged many contests and competitions, including ISSMA and
show choir competitions, as well for the Jr. Miss and Miss America
Scholarship Programs. She has a Vocal/General Music Education degree
from Ball State University where she served as an accompanist for the
Ball State University Singers, private voice lessons, the Statesmen and
Women’s Chorus, and for Ball State Theatre productions. A sectional
winning gymnast herself, she has also coached a sectional winning
gymnastics team at Wawasee High School in 1996, and her competition show
choirs have consistently placed in finals through the years. Suellen
served as a public speaker for SCAN, Inc.(Stop Child Abuse and Neglect)
where she spoke to over 5000 people on issues surrounding child abuse.
Suellen is the director of vocal music at Woodside Middle School and she
is the Co-Director along with Dr. Keith E. Touchton of the Homestead
High School show choirs, Class Royale and Elite.
